A Flower in the Rain
Name : Vanillakit | Vanillapaw | Vanillarose
Gender : She-cat
Age : Thirty-five moons
Clan : IceClan
Rank : Kit | Apprentice | Warrior
Description : This she-cat often turns heads with her gorgeous pelt, resembling her mother in every way. She’s the type of cat to always keep it glossy and shiny with proper grooming. It is a soft white, much like the snow and ice in the lands, with just a touch of a cream hue. The cream color adorns her ears and around her muzzle, mostly under her eyes. Her tail also has a few cream stripes running gently down the length until they reach the tip. Her body is fairly lean, with legs a tad on the short side, yet they have a good amount of muscle in them. There are no scars to mar this body; it is flawless for a she-cat. Her face is angular, with a soft pink nose, short whiskers, and golden-green eyes.
Personality : Vanillarose is a gentle, if a bit conceited, she-cat. She knows she’s beautiful and enjoys flaunting it. However, she has the grace to be modest (or pretend to be, anyway) and does her best not to brag about her beauty. She has many acquaintances instead of a few good friends, but she doesn’t seem that torn up about it. She knows she will always have her beloved brother Phantomwind for close company, and her many acquaintances suit her need to gossip once in a while. This she-cat is soft spoken, her voice never raising its volume in a shout, and her smile matches. She adores kits and would much rather be a babysitter instead of going on a hunting patrol. In fact, at times she does seem a bit lazy and naive, but more often than not gets the job done.
History : This cat is half-blooded and knows it. In fact, one of the main reasons why she is so close to her brother is because at times both have felt like outsiders in their clan. Their mother was a beauty of IceClan, Cherryblossom, while their father was a warrior of GlacierClan by the name of Firespark. Their forbidden love had grown from always seeing and talking with each other at Gatherings ever since they were apprentices. When Cherryblossom kitted there were three kits in the litter: Vanillarose, Phantomwind, and the eldest Copperglow. Copperglow had been the kit that gave their family away, for he was the spitting image of Firespark; there had been no IceClan cats that even resembled him and the clan grew suspicious. Cherryblossom’s sister, Diamondflame, couldn’t resist gossiping about Cherryblossom’s “friendship” with the certain GlacierClan tom from the Gatherings, and it soon spread throughout the camp. However, no one had any proof, and the three siblings became apprentices like any other kit. Vanillapaw did fairly well with her apprentice studies, her mentor Lightspeed pleased with his apprentice’s quiet obedience and focus. Phantompaw and Copperglow both also did well, but Copperglow’s mentor noticed that he did better with crouches than fishing, a GlacierClan trait and reported his findings. The IceClan leader confronted Cherryblossom after her kits’ warrior ceremony, demanding to know if their father was of IceClan or not. Not being one to lie, she told the truth, shocking her kits that had been oblivious to the rumors of their creation. Copperglow immediately lashed out at his mother for keeping that a secret from his siblings and him, and disappeared from IceClan forever. Most guessed that he went to GlacierClan, but he was never seen at Gatherings or heard from again. Cherryblossom, a few moons later, passed on due to grief of losing her eldest kit and mate, since the leader absolutely forbade her from seeing Firespark ever again. Vanillarose, on the other paw, wished to remain in IceClan as did Phantomwind, often saying that she was a pure IceClanner in spirit if not in blood.
Relationships : Firespark – GlacierClan father Cherryblossom – deceitful mother, deceased Diamondflame – arrogant aunt, deceased from the Great Move Phantomwind – valiant brother
Role-Play : See Mossmask of ArcticClan, please.
Motto/Themesong : "The past may be in our hearts, but our eyes should look to the future.”
