{Sapphirestar} Her legs moved with rapid succession and her claws dug into the ground. Her eyes were focused on the rabbit racing in front of her. It dodged around a tree and she went the other way. her shoulder brushed the bark of the tree and a small tuft of fur was pulled lose. Her heart beat was calm and steady as she rounded the tree. But she skidded to s stop immediately. Her eyes widened with horror and she stared into the narrowed angry eyes of her prey. but there were more of them...hundreds...and they all faced her staring angrily, and twitching their noses. without even thinking sapphirestar spun around her feet flying out from below her. She found that she was surrounded. She lay on her belly heaving panting and being stared down by rabbits. Then they attacked. Leaping at ehr covering her face. She growled and claws at them. She closed her eyes and bit down as soft fur fell into her mouth, but no blood flowed from her quarry.
She opened her eyes in astonishment as her mouth filled with the tang of moss and the grit of sand. She growled and flung the moss off of her and rolled to her feet. She looked around her newish den. It wasn't anything special, but she was home. She sighed and shook her long fur out. She moved forward and slipped out of the den to stand looking around the clan. She flicked her tail and yawned big. She looked over toward the warriors den and blinked warmly. She knew it would soon be time to add to their number. She knew that the apprentices who had traveled the for all those moons as apprentices would deserve to be warriors. She smiled thinking of Taintedfaith. She wondered where that scoundrel was. She hadn't seen him in a couple of days. Which was odd. She sighed and dug her claws into the ground and sighed again. She wanted to go hunting or go on a patrol. She needed some warriors to go with her. Maybe it was time for an assessment. Words: 356 Muse: decent For: any and all GC Notes: this is to get the site moving.

Strawberrypaw poked his nose out through the twigs of the apprentice's den and looked around the camp. There were a few other apprentices in the corner of camp, tossing a ball of moss at each other, and Sapphirestar, was just outside of her den, yawning. Strawberrypaw briefly scanned the scene again, to check that his mentor wasn't there, and then he headed over to his leader instead. As he passed the fresh-kill pile, he grabbed hold of a joicy rabbit to take to her. ' Afternoon, Sapphirestar. Did you sleep well?' The pale ginger apprentiece passed her the prey, and began brushing the light dusting of snow about with his tail. ' Sapphirestar, is there a hunting patrol, or border duty due out? I haven't really trained much recently, and would like to get out of camp for a while. Would it be a problem if I went hunting alone seeing as my mentor is out of camp?' Strawberrypaw spent most of his time training himself, or copying what the other mentors taught theri apprentices. It seemed that his mantor wans't bothered about training him, or about any progres he'd made on his own. His crystal like blue eyes looked glumly at his paws as he thought of all the possible reasons why his mentor wouldn't want to train him. Maybe I'm not good at anythig, or I don't try hard enough when he tells me something. Or maybe it's because I'm not the best, or better than his friends apprentices. He's probably ashamed to have me as his apprentice or something. Strawberypaw sighed as he thought. If either of his parent were still here, maybe they could make him be better, but Elmpelt had drowned in the great flood, and Nightshawl had died giving birth to him and his brothers and sisters. It was his fault his mother had died.

{Sapphirestar}
Vindicated i am wrong I am right I swear I'm right Her mind still recalled her dream, and she found that nothing seemed really real. She turned her head this way and that but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. She flicked her tail and sat down, her mind wandering slightly toward ehr den, until the sound of pawsteps lifted the fog from her mind. She turned to look tward the approaching sound and smiled seeing Strawberrypaw. The apprentices words echoed in her mind and she paused to think them over. "Afternoon, Sapphirestar. Did you sleep well?" His words were simple and she looked at him slowly speaking a yawn escaping her lips once more. "for the most part yes...I had quite an odd dream though..." She said still pondering her dream. She heard ehr name again and looked at Strawberrypaw " Sapphirestar, is there a hunting patrol, or border duty due out? I haven't really trained much recently, and would like to get out of camp for a while. Would it be a problem if I went hunting alone seeing as my mentor is out of camp?" She watched the apprentice dust the snow away with her tail and smiled. "No not that I know of Strawberrypa." she said and was about to continue to tell the apprentice it would be fine to go out, but another idea popped into her head. She looked up at the sky and nodded to herself. She had time. "What would you say to doing a bit of training with me today?" She asked calmly and flicked her ears forward.
Her mind wandered as she waited for a reply, back to her apprentice days, when she had trained under Brokenflame. she smiled remembering his praise. She flicked her ears and looked at Straberrypaw. She thought back now to her own training with Shimmerpaw. She sighed softly thinking of his premature death, but she knew that it had been for the good of the clan. It wasn't his fault, and it wasn't anyone's fault. Starclan had called him home. Perhaps to have saved him from that flood. He had never liked water. She smiled and focused on Strawberrypaw wondering what the apprentice would say. Words:373 For:any and all GC Muse:meh... Notes:none really...she's alittle out of itcause I am super tired...

Strawberrypaw Sapphirestar suggest he trained with her. Confusion and hope flickered across his features as het took in the words she'd said What would you say to doing a bit of training with me today? Training with the clan leader? Wow. Not every apprentice got to train with their leader. He smiled tentatively and his tail began to swish. 'Really? Aren't you busy? Sure, I'd love to train with you Sapphirestar. It'd be an honour.' All gloomy thought from before had been replaced by the thought of training, showing off to the leader. His sun light pelt lit up even more than before, his sky blue eyes brighter. HE was stood up again bouncing on his paws almost as soon as Saphirestar had suggested it. Now, he was backing away ready to leave the camp. 'Would you like to see me hunt of fight first?' It was one of the first times in his life that he'd felt someone was taking any notice of his training. He wanted to show her the best, so she could commend him, and the worst, so she could tell him how to imporve. The dark tips of his tail and ears were quivering with excitement as he glenced over to the apprentice's den, to check that no noe was following him. He wanted this training session alone. muse:what muse? post count:247 notes:Strawberrypaw has no mentor

{Sapphirestar}
Vindicated I am wrong I am right I swear I'm right Sapphire blue eyes danced with understanding and excitement. It had been a while since she had trained an apprentice. She smiled at the thought and flicked her tail. She looked at the apprentice and she blinked warmly as the apprentice spoke, her words seeming rushed and excited, "Really? Aren't you busy? Sure, I'd love to train with you Sapphirestar. It'd be an honour." Sapphirestar turned her head to the side and looked toward the warriors den once more hoping to see Taintedfaith emerging from the den. She shook her head and decided against waiting for him. She opened her mouth to speak but Strawberrypaw beat her to it, "Would you like to see me hunt of fight first?" Sapphirestar smiled atthe apprentice then and flicked her ears forward. "I think we should replenish the fresh-kill pile don't you?" She asked flicking her tail toward the rabbit at her paws. "Thank you for the offer, but I think the elders would like this better. I'll meet you at the entrance." She said and with a flash of fur and blue eyes she turned and trotted quickly toward the entrance.

afraid of you have found -- Eavesdropping wasn't unnecessarily the word. There was no juicy details being exchanged. Just a causal conversation. His ears were just as welcomed to hear the words as much as the one being addressed.
Fallpaw, stretched quickly from his perch, jumped from the branch. Coordinating where he were to land. Green-orange eyes darting from his black paw and white paw to the ground.
With grace, he landed before Sapphirestar fully reached the entrance. It was a difficult task, falling into the entrance. Required coordination. Skill. Accomplishing it, he felt proud of himself.
The nearly white tom cocked his head towards the gathering party. "Sapphirestar," he acknowledged her. "I wouldn't be intruding if I came along?" The apprentice spoke polite, yet had a coy accent.
Felt the surge of excitement as the tom thought of hunting. New land; new game.

Midnightdawn's eyes flickered open to reveal the sun streaming in. It could only be dawn, because of where her den was sitting. She stood up, and stretched, smiling at th fact that she finally had a new den. She took another look around at the den she had made, a cleft in a rock, filled with mss and a little pool. It was perfect. She had found it while searching for moss for bedding. She trotted out of her den and noticed a group of cats, including Sapphirestar. She trotted over to the group and dipped her head. "It is a nice day today," She remarked, smiling. She looked up and saw the sun, but with clouds surrounding it. "I think it's going to rain later. If you are going to hunt, you should go now, while the sun is still shining." She meowed casually, not taking her eyes off the clouds.

{Sapphirestar}
Vindicated I am wrong I am right I swear I'm right Her eyes flashed downward as Fallpaw landed elegantly at her paws. She lifted a would-be eyebrow and smiled gently at the young son of her former leader. She spoke easily and her words fell form her mouth like feathers from the sky, "Of course there would be no intrusion, She mewed and flicked her ears forward, I would like you to join us actually." She turned her head as soft padding paws entered the clearing from across the empty space. She smiled as Midnightdawn joined them. She nodded slowly, her eyes drifting skyward toward the bright sun with a halo of dark clouds gathering around it. She rolled her shoulders and took a deep breath, turning her attention toward the apprentice den this time. She wondered if Snowpaw had spoken to her sister recently. She looked at Midnightdawn and an idea formed in her head.
She looked at Midnightdawn and smiled brightly. "We plan to, thank you Midnightdawn." Her words hung in the air for a few moments, and she dug her claws into the snow and slush at her paws. She flicked her tail once more before continuing. "If you would do me a favor though Midnightdawn, If you could send Snowpaw our way if you see her?" She said letting her eyes flash toward the aprentice den once more before she turned toward the apprentices and smiled. "Shall we go then you two?" She spoke, and witha swift flash of her tail she moved through the entrance, past Fallpaw, and out itno their territory. Words:269 Muse: eh... For:Yous guys... Notes: Um Sapphy has an apprentice, Snowpaw, does Fallpaw have a mentor? and Oh, let's keep this the order heh? Me, sootie, Haunt, and if Ginger wants too she can join us too.

Strawberrypaw nodded his head as Sapphirestar suggsted hunting, and then pushed the rabbit away. He should of though of feeding the elders. He grabbed hold of the corpse between his teeth and dragged it over to the elders den. 'Here, fresh-kill. We're about to go out hunting so there should be more later. There's so much prey here, I doubt we'll ever be hungry again!' He deposited the rabbit and quicklly backed out of the den and breathed in deeply. The elder's den always smelt like mouse bile these days. That rancid smell was recognisable anywhere. He shook his fire coloured fur and bounced across the clearing to meet Sapphirestar at the entrance. He noticed that Fallpaw and Midnightdawn had joined them. He didn't really mind like his brother's and sisters would have. Although he was excited to be going hunting with the leader, it made him nervous too.' Hello Fallpaw, Midnightdawn. Are you joining our hunting patrol?' Strawberrypaw's pale ginger tail was waving as he stood in the camp enterance ready to leave and hit the forest. He looked up at the sky where Sapphirestar and Midnightdawn were looking. There was a slight bitter taste to the air, which was always present before bad weather. He nodded thoughtfully at Midnightdawn's warning. Post count:277 Muse: Allright-ish Notes: Haunt, are you still playing Nightshawl's kit Hauntkit? Strawberrypaw seems to have lost all six of his siblings. Sapphy, I seem to have stolen you're little post evaluation thingy

(aahah yeah, i'll play him c: actually, hauntstar was fail and a calico (back three years ago when i made him) so, he should be a she? and yeah, slushreign is fallpaw's mentorrr)i don't see anything now
-- The apprentice nodded a thank you to Sapphirestar as he watched all the others assemble completely. Green-orange eyes looked over to Strawberrypaw as the fellow apprentice asked about their accompany. Turning towards the pale ginger she-cat, " I am," Fallpaw clarified, speaking for himself. His black-tipped tail flicked ever-so-slightly, growing anxious for the hunt. He got to his paws and followed their leader, " Will we pass by the border, too?" he questioned, " Just for a moment? The other Clans might try to push their own borders," The white cat explained. The thought of running into a rival Clan flourished more excitement. Yet had he had the chance to engage in a real fight. It was very much something he anticipated. --

Midnightdawn's eyes took in Sapphirestar's bright smile, and she smiled back. Life was good. "I will send Snowpaw your way." She replied steadily, smiling still. "No, Strawberrypaw, I'm afraid I'll be needed here. Do me a favor though, if you get into a border skirmish, remember that I still haven't collected herbs." She grinned and flicked her tail at the group of cats, before dipping her head and leaving.
Midnightdawn turned and trotted to the apprentices' den, and poked her head inside. "Snowpaw?" She found the apprentice and shook her shoulder. "Snowpaw, Sapphirestar wants you for her patrol, so you'd better wake up." She meowed into the apprentices' ear, before nudging her again. She sat down beside the apprentice and thought of her own apprentice, and wondered if he would be up to collecting herbs later. She smiled at the thought, thinking of how fun that would be, exploring the territory.

[TAINTEDFAITH]His tail lashed back and forth as he slipped through the camp entrance, yawning widely, the mouse in his jaws falling from them. His gold eyes looked down at the mouse before he picked it up by the tail and flung it towards the fresh kill pile. Just as the deputy was padding towards the warrior's den, his ears flicked towards the sounds of a few voices. Turning his large head, his gaze focused upon Sapphiretstar, eyes softening slightly at the sight of her. The two Strawberrypaw came into his eye's focus before they moved towards the Medicine cat. Ears flicking up, his smile returned to his face as he heard the mentioning of a patrol. That would be perfect, not that he disliked staying in the camp, but still..the territory amazed him.
Taintedfaith's paws took him towards his mate, tail flicking back and forth, and as he passed Strawberrypaw, his tail flicked over her ears. Being the cat that he was, Apprentices and kits always made his heart soften slightly. His gaze flicking towards his head, he smiled. "Sapphirestar! I hear your planning a patrol without me. Did I do something to anger you?" He asked, smirking as he sat down beside his leader, tail brushing up her back slowly before he pulled his tail around his large paws, golden eyes flicking towards the apprentice's den where he spotted the Medicine cat calling for the leader's apprentice.

//Ginger I was planning something else for Snowpaw..I'm gonna pretend Midnightdawn didn't do that kk? =)
Snowpaw sat calmly just outside of the camp entrance, her tailtip flicking ever-so-slightly up and down. Her frosty-white ears swiveled minutely as she listened to the talk just inside the den entrance and her whiskers twitched slightly as she heard the other cats wondering where she was. Other than that, she didn't move a muscle. She was a silent sentinel, and she knew exactly what she was waiting for, though no one else would know - not now, and hopefully not for quite some time. She didn't wonder that the cats could not smell her: she had spent a fair bit of time before dawn rolling in dew and then rubbing herself against raw treesap so that her smell was completely masked. Her short, dense fur was only now beginning to feel fully dry. She had made this sacrifice for one cat and one cat only; though not for their sake - in fact the opposite: she had suspected since they had settled here that her sister Shadepaw was meeting certain unpleasant characters, and she was determined this time that she would not miss the fun.
