I always do as mother says. Dont I?
The silver snow was glittering in the sun light. The sharp jagged edges of the Dagger Rocks jutted out of the snowy blanket. Weaving between the pointed boulders a flash of white and black fur could be seen, gradually climbing higher into the mountains. The young she-cat liked to come up here at night and speak to the stars. Cloverpaw knew she wasn't allowed to come up here, but it was the place where she felt closest to her mother who she'd never known. Snowstorm was a cat of Arctic Clan, their deputy, but when she was killed by a badger, she left her new-born kits for her sister to take to Ice Clan. Cloverpaw loved all of her family in Ice Clan; her siblings and her aunt Icestorm, and every other cat who supported her and become part of her extended family. But she wished she could have known her mother. Only a few of the other apprenitces knew of her coming here. Cloverpaw was on her way up the mountain to see her mother now. It was still frezing cold, especially as it was so far into new-leaf. There was still ice on almost all of the paths which she usually used. The snow covered the others, and it was deeper than the small apprentice, so there was no way up. Cloverpaw hadn't been up this way since last full-moon, while everyone was away at the gathering. This place was closer to Silverpelt than anywhere in the old territory, therefore Cloverpaw could be closer to her dead family. She needed to speak with the spirits, they were long overdue a visit. She picked through the easiest path most of the way up, occasionally scratching her paws and her nose on the dagger sharp rocks until her marbled black and white pelt was covered in tiny trickles of blood. Her green eyes glowed with determination, and she pushed on further. Maybe sge'd have to spend the whole night up her listening to the silent voices of the dead. Her pelt tingled at the though. Nobody would miss her for one night. She was almost at the top when all around the rocks glistened with wind polished ice. Cloverpaw spent a few minites looking for another path, but the only way would be to jump, or slide very carfully across the ice. Icestorm had always told them to stay away from Dagger Rocks if it was cold, because the invisible ice was a killer. Cloverpaw's breath caught in her through as she un-sheathed her claws, digging them into the black ice and took the first tentative steps to the top of the Daggers. Her long black tail stretched out behind her for balance. Cloverpaw slid closer to the edge with every step. At almost half-way, her claws wouldn't penetrate the ice to get a grip. The small apprentice slipped and slid over the edge of the rocks into the razor-like rocks below. Anyone can reply to this, if a cat saw her sneaking out and followed her. A kit, or apprenitce wanting some of her adventure, or a warrior wanting to tell her off. People need to start RPing.

After all you put me through, You'd think I'd despise you, But in the end I wanna thank you, 'Cause you made me that much stronger Her ears priced as soon as Cloverpaw slipped out of the den. She had been watchign the young apprentice since she had joined the clan almost a year before. She flicked ehr tail and stood, slippign out behind the aprpentice and following ehr to Dagger rocks. She was silent on her paws, and follwoed the apprentice step for step, never yto far, never to close. She was a brilliant cat, her eyes, yellow green in color never left the black and white apprentice in front of her. Coralpaw let her small feet do the work and let her eyes keep watch of the younger cat before her. She may have the name of paw, but she was old enough to be a warrior. She had been ready when she had been accepted into the clan, but her age didn't allow it, and then with the great flood, and the move, Wolfstar hadn't had time to have any ceremonies yet, so alas, she was still Coralpaw.
Her mind wandered to her past for a moment, and she thought of her life before before she saw Cloverpaw stop at the edge of a seemingly shimmering patch of snow. She knew it wasn't snow though, she knew it was ice, black ice actually. The worst kind. She extended the claws on her three paws that actually had them, and began to move forward with Cloverpaw, but something changed, the apprentice slipped and began to slide toward the edge, Coralpaw was there in a flash, her legs pumping, when she hit the ice she maneuvered her legs out so her body weight was balanced and she dug her claws in to slow her slide. She was a seasoned ice slider, and she knew how to move along it. She reached the edge just as Cloverpaw fell over and reached out with her clawed paw and gripped the apprentices shoulder with it catching her claws deep in the skin. Her back feet Held her to the slick ice and her right paw was splayed out keeping her weight even and balanced. "Grab, the edge!" She shouted to the apprentice over the slight wind.

Paws slipping, claws scratching. The little white medicine cat apprentice would never have seen it coming. Her lavender eyes blinked open, searching for a specific herb usually found at night, near the dagger rocks. She had tp be extremely careful, the black ice was deadly. The ice was never like this back at their old home, but, then again, she was born when the snow was already melting. She'd have to ask Icestorm, her mother, about it. She grabbed the plant by it's roots, she had to dig through the ice to get to it, when she heard a squeal, and claws scrambling against rock and ice. "Grab, the edge!" She recognized Coralpaws voice. What should I do? Wingedpaw fretted, She knew that as her role as a medicine cat apprentice, she had to go and help her clan mates, but she was terrified of the Dagger Rocks. It had taken all of her guts to even go to the base of them to collect herbs. I can do it! She placed her herbs under a rock, and launched herself onto a rock. Her claws easily gripped the rock, but her back paws staggered. She had to use all of the little muscle she had to get herself up onto the rock, and she was panting by the time she got there. "Coralpaw! Cloverpaw!" She looked at her friend, and at her cousin, "I'm coming!" She bolted forward, helping Coralpaw get a firm hold on Cloverpaws scruff. "I think she stuck!" Her voice was muffled behind the fur.

Cloverpaw could hear something which she hadn't heard all night. Pawsteps. She almost always came up here alone. And her silbings always asked to accompany her, they never followed her, spying on her. Right now though, the lively, advernturous young apprenitce was just glad to be hearing someone behind her. As she fell into the razor-like rocks below, she saw Coralpaw's small figure expertly slide across the invisible black ice and call out to her, telling her to grab hold of the edge. Cloverpaw grasped out with her two white front paws, attacking the empty air with unsheathed claws. The small black and white cat was falling faster and faster as she plummeted to her death below. Clvoerpaw's green eyes were vivid in the pitch black darkness. She could hear Wingedpaw below, and wondered if the medicine cat had seen this coming. Wingedpaw was her cousin, and Cloverpaw had always gotten on with her, although her personality often clashed with Wingedpaw's. She close her eyes and she thought about joining her mother in Star Clan. Thud Cloverpaw hit the Dagger Rocks. She yowled out in pain. It felt like her tail was on fire. She opened her eyes and searing pain and blinding white light flashed infront of her. With all the luck of Star Clan, her body had slid between two of the larger spires, although there was a huge wound across her left shoulder. The most obvious injury, which Cloverpaw had yet to notice was her severed tail, wedged between two of the shaperst rocks. She was so distracted with what she could see, the twitching black tail remained undiscovered. She was hunched up as small as she could get on the floor of the deathly pit. Her petite body was bleding from several places. She opened one beady eye and glanced around, savouring her first glimpse of what she anticipated would be the Star Clan plains.

After all you put me through, You'd think I'd despise you, But in the end I wanna thank you, 'Cause you made me that much stronger "No!" She screamed ber voice bouncing back to her over the mountains and snow covered peaks. She growled in anger and flicked her earsback flat agaisnt her head. The sickening thum would have been enough to send her flying over the edge, but it was the scream of pain that really did it. She turned and raced down the side of the Ice until she found a small path that lead to the bottom. She slid down it with skill, her claws digging into the ice and sending her in the right direction. about three fox-lengths from the bottom, she leaped from the ice and onto the rocks below. She tilted her head and stood for a moment listening, she heard the screams and whimpers of pain coming from in front of and below her, she moved leaping from rock to rock until she found the curled form of the young apprentice below her. "Wingedpaw! over here!" She shouted to the medicine cat.
She was already working her way down to Clover paw when she saw it, twitching and seeming to mock them in it's movement. It was to far away to still be attached, and to slow to be alive. She gasped and then choked back a sob, cloverpaw would never be the same. She glanced at the sky anger surging through her. Starclan! why? Have we not suffered enough? She shouted to the clouds before continuing down to Cloverpaw. She saw the large gash on her friends side, but moved to where her tail would have been. She began to clean the wound, but it was the worst thing she had ever seen. bone, tendons, muscle, skin, all hung loose where they had been attached to the fifth appendage of cats. She sighed and began to speak through rasps of her tongue across the wound.. "Cloverpaw, stay with me, listen do you want to hear a story?" She asked trying to keep the apprentice conscience. Wingedpaw hurry. She thought and glanced up at the entrance. Words:349 Posting as:Coralpaw For:Cloverpaw/Wingedpaw Muse: Good!! Notes: none

She was already skidding to the scene of the accident when she saw Coralpaw arrive. Wingedpaw blinked, and her shy demeanor completely left her. She became a cat of StarClan. A medicine cat. Lavender eyes burning with confidence, she gracefully approached her cousin, Cloverpaw. She took in the wounds. She had one of the jagged stalagtite-looking rocks embedded into her shoulder, and, Wingedpaw winced, her tail had been completely severed from her body. Wingedpaw instantly pulled out some of the cobwebs that she had collected just minutes earlier. She had stored them under a layer of her long white fur, to keep it sticky and warm. She ripped off a small ball of it, and stuck it first on the bleeding lump where Cloverpaws tail used to be. She then ripped off a long strip and secured the ball of cobwebs onto the base of her 'tail', by wrapping the long strips around her stomach and back legs. As she watched the blood slowly seep into the cobwebs, she realized that she had to get back to camp, where most of her supplies were. She handed the cobwebs to Coralpaw, as she gently tried to clean the rock and dirt from the open shoulder. She winced again as she tasted the tangy taste of blood, but, as a medicine cat apprentice, she was used to it. Once she thought that the wound would not instantly get infected, she took back the cobwebs and began applying them thickly to the wound. "Coralpaw." Wingedpaw started, "I know this might be a little... gross... But can you please grab the severed tail and bring it back with us?" Wingedpaw thought for a moment, "But first can you help get Cloverpaw onto my back? We desperately need to get back to camp." Wingedpaw looked anxiously at Cloverpaw, and then at the stars. Her eyes widened, and, instead of seeing the normal stars that she would with the cats that are living, the sky was filled with the stars in StarClan. When she's in StarClan, Wingedpaw can see the life forcez of all the cats living under the rules of StarClan. The brighter the star, the closer the cat is to death, and, the brightest star that she could see in the sky, when looked at closely, was actually Cloverpaw.
Wordcount: 400 Posting as: Wingedpaw Muse: Music from the Lion King 1 and 2 Notes: By the way, Spotty might remember, but when Wingedpaw became a Medicine Cat apprentice, when she was in StarClan with Spottedpelt, Russetclaw, and Mutestorm, she looked up, and instead of seing the stars of the dead, she saw the stars of the living. (It's basically mirrored in Wingedpaws StarClan). So, I'm thinking that when Wingedpaw becomes an actual Medicine Cat, she will get the power to "Switch Stars" And see the life forces of the living. Just a heads up, and some info, if you had no idea what I was talking about.

//Sorry I didn't reply sooner. I have a mountain of homework and revision which I've decided to ignore for the moment, but it should be over in a couple of months.
Cloverpaw couldn't feel anything now. She'd passed from the red zone to the black. It was numbness, a place without feelings or pain. She could only hear; even the voices of her two friends seemed distorted. Do you want to hear a story?' Thoughts were wirling in Cloverpaw's head, but she managed to whisper 'Is it about my mother in Star Clan?' Cloverpaw's breath saw being drawn in sharp gasps and her feebly flickering eyes no longer shone with the light she carried with her everywhere. A cloud passed over the moon and the black and white apprenitce's green eyes closed. Cloverpaw opened her eyes. She was in a place she'd never seen before. A luscious medow stretched as far as she could see. There were the tallest trees to her left, and a group of snow-capped mountains infront of her in the distance. She began to look closer around, stepping forward onto the soft green grass. Whereever she was, it must be green-leaf, as she could feel the sun's warmth on her back. Emerging from the trees was a glittering silver cat, the colours of her pelt hidden by the stars within the fur. Cloverpaw knew her, the ex-Arctic Clan deputy. Her mother had come for her.
//It would be best if Snowy could do this part, but could one of you two play Snowstorm rejecting her from Star Clan?

((-Raises hand- I WILL!!!!)) [Coralpaw]
After all you put me through, You'd think I'd despise you, But in the end I wanna thank you, 'Cause you made me that much stronger Her heart beat paused for only a moment as Wingepaw came to her side and began to work. She was bigger than wingedpaw and flicked her tial at the command. "I'll carry her...It'll be easier for me." She said and maneuvered her body beside the young she cat on the ground and pressed her shoulder against the chest of the apprentice and turned her head before gently grabbing the right paw of the she cat. She pulled her onto her shoulders and maneuvered her hips under the belly of the apprentice. She then lifted herself up and shfted her weight around until she had the apprentice squarely on her shoulders. somethign was wrong though. A small voice by her ear whispered. "Is it about my mother in Star Clan?" and then the soft rhythm against her spine began to slow...faint as it was, it began to fade. She gasped and looked at wingedpaw. "She's dying...Help her!" She growled and looked around trying to find an easy way toward camp. "Starclan! help us!" She prayed aloud, her heart crying out to her ancestors. Words: 196 Posting as:Coralpaw For: the winged clover Muse: decent Her eyes danced as they fell upon the young apprentice standing before her. Her daughter stood and was healthy before her but she knew this wasn't right. She shook her head and flicked her tail before emerging from the wood and moving forward to her daughter. She dipped her head her nose pressing against her daughters. "Cloverpaw." She said softly pressing her body against her daughters and moving around her. Seemingly inspecting her, and satisfied, not that she wouldn't have been, stood again in front of Cloverpaw. Her fur sparkled like the dew, but it wasn't water that glistened in the sunshine, it was starlight. She shook her head again and sighed softly. "It is not yet your time, Cloverpaw." she said simply and then her voice began to ebb and fade as did her light fur and star dusted body "I love you my Dear Cloverpaw, but you cannot stay here yet, you have things to accomplish on earth." She said and flicked her ears.

Wingedpaw glanced at Cloverpaw and then at Coralpaw, and shook her head. "There is nothing I can do." She looked back to the sky, as she saw Cloverpaws star begin to dim, "She will live." She stated, in a tone unlike her own; her voice was that of the ancient cats in StarClan. She realized now that she knew things other cats didn't. I can tell when a cat will die. The sudden realization dawned on her, making her feel cold, and smaller then she ever had in her life. "Come." She spun around, her long fur blowing around her in a rage of white, creating an image that she was twice her actual size. "We must get back to camp, she will survive, but she is still hurt." Realizing she probably sounded crazy, talking about a cat living when the cat was dying in front of them, "Just trust me. She'll live." She smiled warmly at her friend. Wingedpaw always felt a little odd when she spoke to Coralpaw. The apprentice was older then Wingedpaw, but as a medicine cat apprentice, she got more respect from the other apprentices and warriors, then a regular apprentice would. She hated being so deeply respected by her senior clan mates. It felt weird.

Cloverpaw closed her eyes. The pain was unbearable, yet it was fading slightly. Why is the pain going? Am I dying? She was somewhere else, and she could feel it, and she knew where she was too. 'Mother.' Seeing her mother for the first time was better than the feeling of catching her first prey. 'Mother' Cloverpaw's eyes gilttered, the same glitter as was in Snowstorm's pelt, a glitter which echoed starlight and sunbeam. She looked up to her mother's face and brushed her shoulder against Snowstorm's. The exdeputy opened her mouth and spoke to her, with words that Cloverpaw both wanted to her, and didn't want to hear. 'It is not yet your time Cloverpaw'. As long as she could live, and would return to her family oneday, then her mothers wishes were fine by Cloverpaw. As the stary cat began to disappear Cloverpaw whispered a few parting words 'I was always looking for you Mother. Now I know which one is your star'
Cloverpaw knew when she was back with Wingedpaw and Coralpaw, because of the pain. It was excruciating. The small white bundle was aware of being lifted slightly and gasping or screaming, she wasn't sure which, and then nothing... //I think that it would be best if she's passed out for the journey, to make it quick and uneventful. Coral and winged both know she'll live, and I guess there should be quite some chaos when they arive back at camp. Should there be a new thread?
