Silver lounged on a hay pile, dreaming of hunting under a silver moon. She sighed and rolled over, still asleep. A shaft of sunlight fell on her, and she awoke. She keep her eyes closed, purring in rare pleasure and she basked in the sun. Then clouds covered it and she felt rain coming. Well, she heard it. She got up and shook herself, loose pieces of hay falling off. Then she streatched, and jumped down from the rafter, landing on the red monster. She crawled in one of the broken windows, and found a rat. She killed it and took it out of the monster. She lept back onto the hay pile to eat it. Chewing on the rat meat she spotted a mouse. Without thinking she lept down and killed it. She rumaged through her hay pile, and buried it in the hay, next to a muskrat and a sparrow. She finished her meal and kicked the skeleton down, only a little bit of meat left. Still hungry, she pulled out the sparrow and gobbled it up, again kicking the skeleton down. She settled back down, closing her eyes. Then rain pattered down. She groaned and moved over to a blanket that had been carelessly dropped between two higher rafters, the remenants of a sparrows nest on top. She climbed underneath, and closed her eyes again, relaxing for once.
