Ripple's long legs tangled over themselves as Raven got up, and he lay there in the snow for a moment looking like a fool. He rolled to his feet and stood elegantly before shaking the snow off of his back and body. He flicked the last bit off his tail with a satisfying flick and turned in time to see his mate catch the unsuspecting young tom off guard. it was amusing, but his eyes narrowed as the tome bared his teeth. The scene changed rather quickly, and ripple was composed as Alnitak and Raven headed toward him. He sat down and let his tail long and thin as it was, wrap around his paws. He looked over to cloud and smiled at her calmly. "I'd offer you a place in our barn, but I assume Raven already has, she loves having others around so." He said and turned to see the young tom enter his circle. "Welcome, you are looking for your sister?" He said and looked at Raven, "You will not be leaving the barn tonight, none of you. There is a storm coming, and you must all stay until morning. I can't allow any of you to leave. It would tear, my heart to pieces to be worried about any of you." He said and flicked his tail before standing. "Come on, there is plenty of food inside." With that he leaped over raven's head and bounded into the barn, the warmth of it welcoming him like an old mate.

Alnitak let his fur lie flat. Just a few loners. It was almost kind of sad how trusting they were, willing to let a random cat into their barn with no indication of his character. "Oh, she went off to hunt a while ago and was going to catch up with me later. And she doesn't look much like me from a distance anyway, she's only about a third of my size." Anilam definitely wouldn't like it if he and some wierdo came and disturbed her while she was trying to hunt. "She'll track me down when she's done, or find somewhere to spend the night and find me in the morning." He glanced over as Ripple spoke. Sure enough, he could feel the pressure dropping - a storm was on the way. He frowned to consider what the tom said. Sure, it would be a great advantage to have somewhere to spend the night complete with prey, but Anilam might not like it if he holed in up there without her. Of course, she might not care at all, but he never really knew how she would react to some things. If she spent the night with these cats, who knew what would happen. He shook himself. They weren't kits anymore, and he wasn't still compelled to be the protective big brother of his smallest sister. Anilam hated the idea anyway; Mintaka had always been the one to really depend on him. He sighed, wondering if she was even still alive. "Ah. . .well. . ." He hesitated, then darted back to the trees. He rubbed up against a few of them, leaving a scent marker for Anilam to find, and followed the loners into the barn. "Thank you for your hospitality," he meowed. "We'll probably be moving on in the morning, out of your territory." He doubted these friendly cats even had borders, but it seemed like the polite thing to say.

Raven swatted at Ripple as he flew over her head. "Goof." She muttered happily. "Come on, Cloud!" She flicked her tail in the direction of the barn, before turning to talk to Anilam. "Alright. Yes, it would be best if you stayed here. So come on in!" She leaped into the barn, landing squarely on Ripple's shoulders, looked down, grinned at Ripple, and leaped away into a pile of hay. Moments later, she emerged with two mice. "Anyone want some?" She asked when she dropped them on the pile.
Raven sighed and lay down in the warm barn. She began washing her pelt with long, careful strokes, and smiled. "Hey Ripple! You've got to check out the falls with me sometime. They're amazing!" She told him, looking up at him. She realized that this was happiness for her, and she had been a fool to leave him all those years ago.

Ripple turned as he heard the young tom say something to him and he nodded slowly, contemplating the odds that this young tom was telling the truth. Even if he wasn't what could he gain from not trusting him, only an enemy. He flicked his tail and turned back to the barn. He felt added weight on his shoulders and looked up seeing Raven's beautiful face looking back at him made his heart light with joy. He smirked as she killed and added two mice to their pile of food. He smiled and turned his head to the new comers. "There is a pigeon there as well. Fresh from the hay loft." He said and looked up at the place for a moment. It had been only moons ago when all the clans had fit in this small barn. Every clannie, loner, and rogue fit just inside to be exact. He smiled at the thought of his friends and made a promise to go and see some of them after this next big storm. He had a sudden thought that maybe they didn't know it was coming, but he didn't worry, they had their homes and their own warriors to warn them.
He turned his attention back to the three cats in his care, he wouldn't be surprised if some more showed up after the storm began. His barn, a large and hard to miss refuge to many, served him well. He didn't mind the company and the knowledge one could gain from so many different stories was uncountable. Like trying to count the stars. He smiled and looked at the cats around him making eyes contact with each, seemingly to look past them into their souls. And within each he saw great potential for a promising future, he had something he needed to talk to Raven about, but it could wait. Right now he needed to explain his way of living. "I am Ripple, this is my home, I open it to you this night and as long as you wish to stay, the only place that is off limits is Mine and Raven's den, that is at the top of the hay loft, there is a big opening between a couple of bales, you can't miss it. The rest if free for you to roam in, hunt, do what you like. While you are here you are under my care and I will claim responsibility for you so, that means that if anyone bothers you, come find me, and I'll work it out. I don't like fighting, I'm a peace maker, if you have an issue with another tenant, please find me." He paused and looked at the fresh kill pile. "The pile is here for everyone to share, you do not have to take from it but if you do please replenish it. You can, if you so choose, hunt only for yourself, but during the storm I can tell you there will not be much more than mice, and Raven here may catch them all before you get a chance." he said with a smile. "That said, please feel free to find me or Ravenw ith any questions or concerns."
((Wow...that was really lame...haha he would do that sort of thing though...))

She always makes it better
Cloud stepped warily into the clearing before the barn. Ripple, the leader of the loners came bursting out of it just as she did so, landing on top of his mate, Raven. She was pushed backwards into the snow, and when she stood up again, her black fur was flacked with the white of frozen snowflakes. Cloud's face ramained emotionless, because she could see how Raven recived the welcome, she knew Ripple vaugley, and she also knew how she would have reacted to such an enterance. Her fluffy black, white and orange tail swished slightly as she scanted another being in the clearning. She scanned the scence before her, trying to put a face to the scent. Raven hadn't said anything about another barn-mate. A lone shiver caused all of Cloud's long fur to stand up in a wave a it traveled along her body. The new-comer was a young male, probably only the same age as she was. He looked like arouge, but spoke like a rouge. Raven was speaking to him, no emphasis on any of the words to hint a ta friendship or unwelcomness. Cloud ignored the two of them talking and instead loked back to Ripple. He had invited her in, so she stepped slowly forward, still unsure about the whole arangement.
But she won't apologise
Cloud made her way to the enterance to the barn, stopping at the foot of a red, paint-peeling door which was hanging of it's hinges. She looked around the place very carefully. She scrutinised every detail, memorising the layout of the place. If she really was welcome to stay here for a while, it would be useful for her to know her way around. She looked for all places of entry and exit, and the best places to attack from if necessary. She also spotted a small fresh-kill pile next to one of the many hay-bales. Most of the bottom floor was covered with scattered hay, and both flors had plenfitul bales of the stuff. The place ha a scent of mice, and dampness and various differnt cat's scents. Of sourse a barn would be the perfect home to mice; and for travelling or lost cats just the same. Once the others were done talking outside and had come inside, she listened to Ripple's speech. To Cloud, it sounded very rehearsed. She listened and nodded politley anyway, and then slowly wandered to a far corner of the bottom leve, making sure she had a good view of everywhere.
I know everything about her but don't know her at all
