[Welcome back]
If the wind hadn't been gently ruffling the white fur, one would think the large tomcat was a statue as he sat by the water, his golden-green eyes staring up at the stars that began to glitter in the darkening sky. The IceClanner seemed to be at peace, yet a smaller white-and-cream-hued feline still felt the need to go by his side and say:
"Mouse for your thoughts, brother." Phantomwind glanced down at his sister and gave her a soft smile.
[Winter once again]
"Good evening, Vanillarose," he said first, giving his sister, who was practically half his size, an affectionate lick on her ear. "I was just looking at our ancestors."
"Any particular reason why?" his sister asked, her voice as gentle as the wind, as soft as her fur, and as melodious as a lark.
[And put on your warm fuzzy sweater]
Phantomwind turned back toward the stars. "I'm just curious as to whether or not this is our true home."
Vanillarose stayed silent for a moment, just enjoying the night while leaning against her strong brother. "Did they respond to you?"
A crooked smile crossed his maw. "They're as silent as always in this state."

Heaving breaths indicated Gingerpelt's arrival. She was getting old, as the gray on her muzzle was spreading quickly. She coughed lightly, before reaching the two cats. "H-hey." She panted. "What are you two up to?" She asked, looking up at the stars.
There were so many of her friends up there: Dreamstar, Spottedpelt, Russetclaw. So many of them had been taken away, and no one stayed for Gingerpelt. She was sad, thinking about them. They were so far away, yet so close. She could hear Starclan whispering to her, and she knew she didn't have many seasons left. But she wanted to make them count. She would be an honourable warrior, then maybe an elder, if Starclan allowed it.
Coming back to the real world, she seemed to awake with a slow blink, and smiled at the two. She hoped she hadn't looked too spacy.

[The snowflakes fall]
Two pairs of white ears, the smaller dappled with a cream hue, swiveled and turned as a fellow IceClanner caught up with the siblings. Both brother and sister nodded a greeting to Gingerpelt.
"Hello," Vanillarose chimed, smiling at the other female, while Phantomwind asked, "How are you tonight, Gingerpelt?"
The male smiled crookedly to himself as the older warrior began to look at the stars. He did not wish to interrupt, and instead waited patiently until Gingerpelt's attention returned to the siblings.
"We were just relaxing, doing the same as you were just a heartbeat ago," Phantomwind's deep, soothing voice said. "StarClan looks beautiful at this time, doesn't it?"
"It looks beautiful all the time," Vanillarose said. Her brother chuckled and said something along the lines of, "I stand corrected." Vanillarose cast him a smile before turning back to Gingerpelt.
"Any special reason why you are out tonight?" she asked curiously.

Gingerpelt looked from sister to brother, and smiled. "It is beautiful at this time. And always," She chuckled. "I'm doing fine tonight, thank you." She meowed happily, "How about yourself?" She looked at them, before answering their other question. "I decided to go out on a walk, and tour the territory at a beautiful time of day." She crouched down and yawned, beofre getting into a more comfortable position. She began to clean her pelt as she waited for the answers.
ooc;; Fail post, sorry. :/
