Name : Mintwhisper
Gender : Tom
Age : 45 moons
Clan : Arcticclan
Rank : Warrior
Description : As pure white as the snowy land in which he calls home, Mintwhisper's long, flowing pelt camouflages him perfectly out on the tundra. However, because of his striking, solid white coloration, it is difficult for Mintwhisper to hunt or conceal himself whilst in the forest. His coat is thick and soft, and, on principle, is always kept exceptionally clean. The tom is no larger than any other average male his age, and his body is lean with gentle muscles. In combat, he relies more on strategy than strength, though this is not to say he's weak- experience has strengthened him a great deal. Mintwhisper's eyes are a gentle, azure hue, meshing wonderfully with the color of the winter sky on a cloudless, sunny day. He observes, and analyzes, moons of wisdom fueling his decisions and thoughts. His expression is always impassive, constantly being sure to keep a cool, level-mind on his shoulders.
Personality : Level-headed. Strategic. Dutiful. Mintwhisper is a “look before you leap” sort of feline. Never one for socializing, he's often one his own, either someplace around camp or out in the territory. The only cat he socializes with on a regular basis is a large tom by the name of Redwing- which, of all the cats of Artcticclan, would seem most to be the most unlikely. The two warriors are polar opposites. Mintwhisper's strengths come from his ability to analyze, and to choose his words and next moves with utmost care. Most cats respect him for this, as either an ally or an enemy. His loyalty to Arcticclan, however strong, is of a silent voice- he doesn't find it necessary to proclaim his allegiance, as his actions should make it clear enough for everyone. Aloof by nature, most cats don't bother approaching him for casual conversation, though no one questions his honor, and everyone shows him respect.
History : When he began his apprenticeship, Mintpaw struggled to wrap his way of thinking around his mentor's way of teaching. His advanced mind and strategic strengths made the lessons difficult and tiresome. Most often Mintpaw would simply refuse to participate, claiming his mentor was “incompetent and mouse-brained.” Recognizing the young tom's unusual learning style, Arcticclan's leader decided to try something unusual. Deadmouth, an elder tom who'd resigned from his place as a warrior after an injury left his jaw near immobile, became Mintpaw's new mentor. Unlike his old mentor, Deadmouth earned Mintpaw's respect, creating within the apprentice a desire to strive for his best. Mintpaw excelled.
One moon before he was to be named a warrior of Arcticclan, Mintpaw was introduced to Deadmouth's second apprentice, Redwing. The young tom's fiery personality conflicted severely with Mintpaw's stoic nature. The two apprentices were at each other constantly, bickering and insulting one another throughout entire sessions. Deadmouth was losing confidence in the pair's abilities to successfully complete their training. One afternoon, however, right around sun-high, on a particularly brutal day between the two young toms, a fox sprung upon their training session. Thinking reflexively, Mintpaw and Redpaw- astonishingly- worked in sync, nearly to perfection, to drive the fox away. After that day, the two became inseparable, an ideal pairing.
Before Redpaw even fully understood, Mintpaw recognized that him becoming a warrior first would drive a barrier between them. After speaking to Deadmouth, and without ever letting Redpaw know his intention, Mintpaw had his warrior naming ceremony postponed. This decision caused a flare-up in Redpaw that eventually died away, and three moons later the two joined the ranks of the Arcticclan warriors together. Since then, Mintwhisper and Redwing have been unwavering companions, supporting and strengthening one another throughout the passing moons.
Relationships : Redwing: brother through bonds – thick coated, orange and black tom
Role-Play : [not 1st]
