Name - Alpha Centauri
Gender - tom
Age - 35 moons
Clan - Rogue
Rank - Would-be Warrior
Description - Alpha Centauri is a handsome blue tom with long, thick fur. Darker fur creates rings on his tail. His nose and paw pads are dark grey and the fur right above his nose has a silvery sheen. A white mark the shape of a star [not the twoleg kind, a kind of spiky circle] on his chest makes him instantly recognizable.
Just by looking at him, you can tell that Alpha is a fighter. A great number of scars from past battles crisscross his fur, the most distinct of these being a ragged slash across his right flank. It's not just scars, though; this cat is seemingly built to fight. He's a large cat, but lean and quick, and very muscular and strong. He looks like a fox, and could pass for a small grey one, without the long muzzle. Long, white claws tip his heavily furred paws.
The majority of the time, Alpha Centauri's green eyes are serious, close to expressionless. His moods never seem to reach his eyes, save one - fury. His face is slightly angular, but his muzzle is broad and powerful. His ears ae large and upright, with tufts of fur at their tips.
Personality - Alpha is, for the most part, evil, but does have some grey patches. :) He is thirsty for power and willing to do almost anything to get it, but the almost is the key word. He doesn't kill for sport - only if he needs to, if only to keep the locals from driving him out. When the killing does start, he is a blood-stained monster, and has no remorse. In his mind, it has to be done. Once allied with a cat, Alpha keeps his word - that is, unless he thinks the other cat will betray him first. Cats with undeclared loyalties, are, for the most part, safe.
Before getting to know Alpha, cats usually think he is a polite, kind tom with a talent for fighting. He makes decisions carefully and can talk his way out of almost any situation, and has avoided some tough fights that way. He is an excellent lier. With a memory like a horse, Alpha rarely forgets a face or location.
Rather conceited, Alpha is very competitive and detests hearing other cats comparing another cat to him. He is brave, but not foolish, and hates being called stupid. While is galls him to be practically unknown as a threat, he's not so trupid to spread his name around - he likes to take every one by surprise. He would die for his mate Polaris. Alpha believes strongly in predestination - he thinks he and his mate are destined to be some of the greatest cats the world has ever known.
History - Alpha was born into a clan under the weight of a deadly prophecy, telling how two cats of great power would rise and threaten to destroy all. His parents, Hadar and Mira, thought it was their two sons, due to the proximity of the prophecy and their birth. They kept it to themselves, not wanting their sons to be kicked out. Alpha was trained to be a warrior and quickly became very popular with his younger clanmates because of his excellent fighting skills he often displayed by battling with the other apprentices. When he and his brother Antares, who was also known for his fighting skills, became warriors, they began pushing borders and challenging the authority of older cats. They were soon distrusted by the more senior warriors, and with good reason.
Together and with the help of Polaris, a she-cat from another clan who Alpha had fallen in love with, they attempted to kill the leader of the clan, but were unsuccessful from a lack of planning and were driven out. Alpha swore from that point on that he would never lose a battle from not thinking ahead. Hearing stories of powerful cats in the north, the three began traveling, looking for power. Worried that his brother would try to kill him because he was competition, Antares tried to murder Alpha but was unsuccessful and was killed himself, defeated by the combined strength of Alpha and Polaris.
Causing trouble where ever they went, he and Polaris soon made a name for themselves.
When they found out Polaris was going to have his kits, they knew they had to find a safe place to raise them. They went north, found a nice taiga, and set up den. Polaris gave brith to three kits, two she-cats and a tom. After a brief fight with the rogue Ridge, he made plans to meet the tom a few moons later. Looking to yet again come to power, Alpha keeps an ear out for rumors.
