Trickster walked along, heading for the nearby hill in hopes that it might have something to eat. He sighed. These days, he never seemed to have anything to eat, and he was getting steadily more and more hungry, and more and more sick of being constantly hungry. He paused for a moment, before entering the shadow of the hill which spread across the grass in the bright moonlight, to stare with some dismay at his own shadow. Even his shadow was thin and scrawny. He shook his head sadly then entered the shadow of the hill, his own disappearing inside it. He was pleased to find that, as soon as he neared the hill, he caught the scent of a rabbit. He immediately slid into a hunters crouch and moved forward, his claws sliding out smoothly. His mouth watered as he got nearer to the white creature, and his whiskers twitched in anticipation. With a burst of strength, he jumped upon the rabbit and killed it with a bite to its neck. He then began to eat it with big, fast bites. As he ate, he heard a sound to his side, and twisted around, his fur bristling and his lips drawn back in a snarl, ready to defend his kill. "Hey." his growled greeting was more threatening then inviting
