Warmheart's eyes flickered as she opened them to the cloudless sunny day. She stood and stretched, fluffing out her pelt. She shook herself to rid of the moss and bracken stuck in her pelt. Once she had done that, she strode out of the Elder's Den and into the clearing.
Being an older cat, Warmheart had a lot of time thinking about her past. She remembered how she had been apart of Avalancheclan, and how she had been formally known as Frostedheart. She had been so evil back then, stealing kits to make them their own warriors to kill their clanmates. It was a cruel way of life. Warmheart had been born into Coldclan, but when they had fallen apart, she joined Avalancheclan at a very young age. She was trained in their bloodthirsty ways. She had killed cats for pleasure and to strike fear into other's. She had been a fearsome cat to deal with, until the day she had stolen Featherkit.
Warmheart still shook her head as she remembered taking the kit and suddenly seeing the innocence in the kit's eyes, changing her mind. It was as if all the frostiness had melted away, to be replaced by a burning warmth. She had risked her life to save the kit, who was now known as Featherdance. Warmheart smiled. She knew Featherdance bore no grudge against her, and that her clanmates trusted her, so life was good.
She picked a plump vole from the fresh-kill pile and crouched to eat it, wondering if any other cats would come eat with her.

[Mooncrystal]
[Cause we're all guilty of the same things]
Her eyes darted around the den as she woke. She didn't move, not yet, she wasn't sure at first exactly where she was. She flicked her ears and let them stand like small sentry's on her head. They heard the movement outside, but the darkness around her still didn't tell her where she was. She flicked her tail around her feeling for the familiar pelt of her friends and found them missing. Then she remembered, and she scolded herself. When would she remember that she was back in Snowclan upon first awakening. She growled and lifted her body from the moss nest shaking the bedding from her fur. She lifted her piercing blue eyes to the entrance. She heard movement outside and she flicked her tail again. She began to move with silence and expertise of a true warrior. She had been with this clan since she was born, she was related to the once great Moonstar, and she had lived in that shadow for seasons. She was 23 moons now, she had had a mate, kits, lost them both, and been left behind in the flood. She had made the journey with a few others, and found the leader hunting in the woods. She had been readily accepted as one of the clan.
[We think the thoughts whether or not we see them through]
As she slipped out of the den she shook the memories from her mind and tried to force the events of her past from her memory. She had been a reckless apprentice, and a driven warrior. She had driven their leader, Tigerstar off the edge of his sanity with her games, had devastated his mate Warmheart and... She paused as she slipped out of the den completely and her eyes adjusted to the light of the clearing. THere laying in the sun muching on a vole was Warmheart. She swallowed hard and looked up at the sky. "If this is your idea of a joke Rockfoot, I'll have none of it..." She mewed under her breath. She moved slowly over to the freshkill pile trying to ignore the nagging guilt she felt in her stomach. She sighed and stared at the freshkill pile realizing none of it looked appetizing. She sighed and turned to look at Warmheart again, a sadness in her eyes for a moment before she pushed it away and looked back at the freshkill.
[And I know that I have been forgiven]
Her stomach churned and she took a deep breath before turning and walking slowly toward Warmheart. She dipped her head to the elder and gave a wearty smile. "Good afternoon Warmheart." She mewed casually and looked around the clearing as if searching for the words to say. She kneaded the ground with her claws realizing, unfortunately, that she was showing her discomfort of the situation. She took a breath, slow and shakey and spoke again, her eyes dancing with sorrow and shame. " Do you need some bedding changed or anything? Is there something I can do for you?" She knew of course that it was the apprentices jobs to take care of the elders but her conscience needed clearing, and humbling herself before the one whom she was sure had hurt the most was probably the best way.
]And I just hope you can forgive me too]

Warmheart's eyes still held the sadness as she thought about Tigerstar. He had always been so kind to her. He gave her a second chance, changed her name, and allowed her a home where she didn't even belong. She had finally been aaccepted, only to lose him shortly after. She shook her head, the tears flicking away off her face.
She gave a start as the young she-cat spoke to her. She lifted her head to look at Mooncrystal, and saw in her eyes sorrow and shame. Abandoning her vole, she sat up, understanding glowing in the depths of her old eyes. "Mooncrystal.. There's no need for that. Whatever happened, it's in the past now. There's nothing to be done about it. Tigerstar wouldn't want two of his clanmates to not be friends because of what happened to him." She murmured, sadness still dancing in her eyes. She dropped her head and shook it again. "I know you're expecting me to be angry, but I'm not. I will never understand why you left, or why you did what you did. All I can say is that I'm glad you're back, and seem to have everything under control." She dipped her head, and looked at the she-cat again, waiting for a response.

Her eyes danced with honor and gratitude. She smiled lightly and flicked her ears forward to listen to the woprds of the elder. She knew the shecat was wise, for her words struck her heart and made her want to cry out in gratitude. She flicked her tial around her paws. Her white fur shone in the sunshine and she let her bright pink tongue slide from her mouth and around her lips cleaning them and wipping the awkward look off her face. "Thank you Warmheart, I too am glad to be back, but I know that I caused you pain, and there must be payment for that. My honor demands it." She spoke the words with confidence and new found acceptance. "I welcome your friendship and pray we have many moons to sit and get to know each other well. You watched me grow up, and betray the clan, and then return on weary paws." Shew mewed and dipped her head. "For your grace and acceptance I honor you, but I must pay my recompense." She said and looked toward the elders den. "So then your bedding?" She asked a calm and elegant smile on her face.

Warmheart dipped her head to the she-cat in acceptance. "I'm glad you are back. We were all worried, when you left." She smiled and dipped her head again. "We will be friends for a long time. As for my bedding, yeah, it could do with a change." She meowed, a sly grin moving across her face. "Oh, and Moondance, when you're done with that, would you like to come hunting with me?" She asked, licking her paw and dragging it over her face.
She was old, yes, but still liked to catch her own prey. She didn't like making the younger cats take care of her, but the warrior code demanded it. So she obeyed by letting them take care of her bedding. But she still contributed to the fresh-kill pile when she could, bringing back a few pieces every day.

Mooncrystal stood immediately and flicked her tail, tilting her head slightly. She dipped her head as the elder spoke and turned slipping into the elders den and gathering the dirty bedding with her quick paws. She pushed and pulled the bedding into a ball and grabbed it with her teeth to leave. She slipped out of the den and moved around to the back of it carrying the moss in her teeth. She left it behind in the dirt place and trotted back to the clearing. She listened to her friends words and smiled lightly. "Nothing can keep you down if I remember correctly Warmheart." She mewed and slipped past her to the medicine cat's den for new bedding. She pulled a ball of it together and walked off toward the elders den. She slipped inside and made a new nest for the elder. She flicked her ears and turned lashing her tail and sprinting out of the den. She felt like a new apprentice going out for her first hunt. She smiled and skidded to an exaggerated halt beside warmheart. "Ready when you are." She mewed and looked toward the entrance.

Tell me what's the secret
Twinkletoes stepped out of the medicine cats den into a small pool of sunlight. He stepped down tentativley on his injured paw and glanced around camp, scenting out which clan mates were awake. Warmheart was sat beside the fresh-kill pile, looking towards her den as if waiting for someone. When twinkletoes saw Mooncrystal emerge, he smiled widely and rushed over to her, all soreness forgotten. 'Mooncrystal! How's the prey running?' The mottled brown tabby still wasn't used to seeing his mother around the camp. It was fantastic to have her back. After almost everyone he'd loved had been taken away, Mooncrystal was back. Proof of Star Clan's existance. The muscular warrior brushed gently against the elder and touched his nose to Mooncrystal before checking the fresh-kill pile. 'So we're hunting then?' I would see if either Ebonypaw or Ivorypaw wantedto come, but they were both on dusk partol. You'll have to spnd more time with them soon Mooncrystal. They're the best kits I could have wished for.' The day's light quality was evident, and it was still only sunrise.
That you've been hiding
Sootstar emerged from the shadows beneath the High Rock. She raised her silver muzzle and reviewed the activity of camp. Her piercing blue eyes saw the returned Mooncrystal with Warnheart, and she tensed fo a moment; remembering Tigerstar's demise. She still missed Tigerstar in some ways but running the Clan seemed so much simpler than he'd done it towards the end of his time. Sootstar knew that Mooncrystal wasn't to blame for his death in the slightest, but everyone who'd played a factor bore the burden of guilt. Warmheart and Mooncrystal were smiling as the spoke, and seemed to be getting on like old friends; only the slightest hint of unease in their stances. Twinkletoes was leaving Wildshadow's den, slightly limping, but she saw light take over him upon joining his mother. Since his two kits had left the nursery, the clan was low on future warriors. Most of the kits were due their apprentice ceremonies, and some needed to be made warriors. Perhaps it would be what she watched for today; the apprentice's camp tasks. She poked her head into each den once more before heading to her shallow cave and ponering mentors, kits warriors and Star Clan.

[Can we pretend that Airplanes]
As she heard his words she turned and there was a broad smile on her face. She looked into the eyes of her son and her heart leaped. His face was that of his fathers and she swallowed the lump in her throat at the though of Rockfoot. She smiled at him and flicked her tail. "I will do that as much as I can TWinkletoes." She said and looked over at Warmheart. "Would you mind if he joined us?" She asked as she nudged ehr sons shoulder and brushed him gently with her tail She knew warmheart wouldn't mind but she had to ask. She saw the nod and almost leaped for joy. Her wishes were coming true. She had her family back, new friends, and a home. What could be better. Who could ask for something more?
[in the night sky]
She turned with a flick of her tail and threw a challenge over her shoulder. She was still young enough to challenge young warriors wasn't she. "Last one to the river is a mousebrained kittypet!" she hollerd and with that she raced through the camp entrance and down a well worn path toward the river. Her paws hit the ground and propelled her forward. nothing could stop her now. She was a warrior on a mission.
[are like shooting stars?]
[Cause I could really use a wish right now]
