Description -
The sapphire blue eyes of this she cat catch your eyes first. They glow like fire and hold all the keys to her heart and soul. The hard and determined look of one who has fought and won many battles crosses her face and the mesmerizing stare seems to entrance you. The blue color is that of the deep ocean in all it's glory. Next around each eye is a dark patch of dark brown, almost black. The color explodes around this patch into a light brown. The dark brown fades like a sunset into the light. The light brown cascades down her back and over her body coming across her sides and looking like large wings on her flanks. The Long fur of this beautiful she-cat adds to her overall beauty. Her tail is long and the light coloring darkens at the base of her tail and runs in a stripe up it to the tip. From the middle of her face is a diamond shape white mark that slides down her face in a stripe and slips around her mouth. The pink nose is like a bright berry in the white snow. The white color cascades down as a river down her face and under her chin. It slides down her throat and her over her chest. It engulfs her legs and runs the length of them to her paws. The pads of her paws are pink and exactly the shade of her nose. The snow like fur continues down her stomach until it meets her tail and twists around and fades into the light brown on the underside of her tail. Her dainty paws make her swift and cunning on her feet and her shorter stocky legs make her a strong and hard fighter. HEr eyes are her greatest weapon because they can distract anyone and everyone and she can hold a gaze longer than can her enemies. HEr paws are quick and precise and her pink nose is more sensitive than most and is always alert.
Personality -
The eyes of this she-cat betray her heart and soul. She is strong willed and outspoken and she will stand up for the young, innocent, and the weak. She is calm and collected in times of crisis and she is always ready to step up. She does the things that others refuse to do. When there are no apprentices she agrees to do their tasks along with her own warrior duties. She cleans the elders den and the nursery without being asked and she never looks for praise. She knows right from wrong and understands that sometimes cats can do the wrong thing for the right reasons. She is a quick minded and sharp strategist. She has a sharp mind and a sharper tongue when she needs it. She can control her emotions quite well. Well enough to keep others calm. She has a sweet soft voice but the strength and authority she holds in it when she speaks makes every one listen. Her one fault is that her heart is quite fickle when it comes to toms. She seems to fall for any tom in her clan that bats his eyes at her. It's not that she doesn't know how to work for the attention but it's just that she can never seem to find one she can be happy with for more then many moons. Which may not be a fault after all. She doesn't thin she is meant to have a mate or kits..so perhaps this is a good thing if she is in position for the leadership. Her belief in Starclan is strong and she never wavers that they are always near. Those she has loved always seem near to her and she knows that one day she will meet them again. She does not fear death but will someday embrace it, ready to see those she loves and those she has yet to meet.
History -
Kithood
Sapphirekit was born as a loner. Her mother and father were killed by the ones called Tarot and rook, though no one could ever prove it. She was left in the cold and icy tundra of Glacierclan. She was taken in by an older warrior by the name of Brokensoul. She named her because of her sapphire blue eyes, that had first captured her heart. This she cat had been on her last days and she gave the kit her warmth and love until she died in the nursery a few moons after Sapphirekit had come to the clan. Sapphirekit didn't remember her parents and only remembered the kind old she cat who had cared for her in the warm den of the clan. Though like most kits she had grown to know the stores told by the elders and queens she had taken them to heart. She wasn't devastated by Brokensouls death because she knew that as long as she loved her she would always be near. And she would see her again when Starclan called her as well. As she grew she was generally accepted by the other kits because she had been only a moon when she was brought in and so she quickly gained the scent and was like another clan born she-cat. She quickly became friends and was a gentle leader with the other kits. She wasn't bossy or manipulative, but gentle, kind, and understanding. She settled many disputes between her friends. Some of the younger apprentices even looked up to her. Her maturity level was renowned around the clan and at six moons many warriors came forward and asked Hauntstar if they would be permitted to train her.
Apprenticeship
Hauntstar took into consideration all of the warriors who stepped forward, but he chose one in whom he had great trust. Brokenflame the wise and older tom had been chosen to train this young apprentice. She was overjoyed and so was he. Her strong faith in Starclan carried over to her training. Brokenflame taught her all he knew and found she was a quick learner, though when faced with the choice of killing or letting go she would always chose the later. She was swift on her paws and cunning with her mind. She moved forward quickly in her training and as he taught her how to fight he saw her strength and cunning truly shine through her skills. She made swift and uncanny movements and came up with sharp, cunning and completely different plans. She came up with even moves he had never seen. She would roll and then, unlike a normal cat would kick up with her front feet and throw him to the side with the momentum of the same roll. She would then leap and as he spun to get up would land on his back and bat his ears. Her eyes would almost hypnotize him as he circled her before a fight and he knew then that one day she would be great. He would smile and tell her so and she would shake her head and say "All I want is to serve and protect my clan." He watched her proudly as she flew through her training quicker then most apprentices. And when she went out on her assessment when she was attacked by a small badger kit, whom she fought off and was still able to bring back freshkill on a badly injured shoulder. He had watched her, ready to leap in if necessary, but the thought was unneeded. She had moved quickly and surely using all her skills to attack the animal from all sides. She learned the animals moves quickly and used them to her advantage and ran the creature off the territory. He was glowing with pride when she returned, yet to this day he never told her he had seen her beat the badger. He requested her for warriorship as soon as she was out of the medicine cats den a few weeks later.
Warriorship
After she was named a warrior, Sapphirepheonix sat her vigil. She stayed silent and accepted the praise with mild excitement. Her mentor watched from afar and as she moved among the cats accepting their praise on her way to the entrance she smiled politely but it seemed as though she didn't need the praise. She seemed to know that no matter how good she was or how well she had done, she only wanted to serve her clan. She wasn't in this for the praise and Glory of the others, she only wished to protect her clan. She knew she was well equipped for warriorship, but she also knew that it didn't matter. She would serve her clan until death as an apprentice if that's what starclan had asked of her. She was quickly given simple leadership positions, such as, leading patrols, teams that would conduct repairs of the camp, and teams that would delegate situations with lesser groups of cats, such as loners or rogues. As Hauntstar watched and as the new kits in the nursery began to grow, he made a decision. He named Sapphirepheonix the mentor of shimmerpaw. She trained him and taught him all she knew and had been taught by her own mentor. He was, like her, a quick learner and he learned quickly, almost as easily and quickly as she had. But a few moons after his warrior ceremony, which had gone over with out a hitch, he was killed by a snow monster that had come up from the longfoot twoleg place. His mangled body was found by Sapphirepheonix and her border patrol. She had had a group of younger warriors along with her and could not mourn for him until late that night after all others had gone. She had to hold strong for the others as they passed and gave condolences for her loss. For the loss of the clan. She would nod her eyes down cast but she consoled the young toms mother. She worked and helped Hauntstar organize the others so to say their good byes and then she alone sat with him as his spirit went to meet Starclan. Still she did not cry. She knew one day she would meet Shimmerlight again and she dreamed of that day waiting for it to come. But until then she would move on and serve her clan. She has moved on now and is slowly getting over the loss. She has collected herself now but has not taken on another apprentice since then. She works her heart out for her clan and hasn't wanted anything more then to be a servant to her clan. She has never dreamed of being leader but her personality and leadership skills have always pointed to it. She has been told many times she should be in line for deputy any day and then one day she would be leader. And her answer would always be the same. "Thank you but my life is in the paws of Starclan."
Leadership
Sapphirestar was thrust into leadership when Hauntstar was killed by the rogue Carner and Blizzardclaw stepped down from her position. She chose Taintedfaith as her deputy and has recently trraveled to the mooncave to gain her nine lives. She is new to this leadership but the pawprints in front of her are lit by the bright shinning light of Starclan and her past leader.

The wind rippled across her fur and she closed her fiery blue eyes while inhaling deeply letting the air wash over her extra sensitive scent glands. She caught the many scents around her, the snow, the others on patrol, the rabbits and mice hidden in the forest, and the border. She smirked and flicked her tail to her small patrol. Her sapphire blue eyes snapped open like the strike of a snake, and she moved forward slowly at first but as the scent grew stronger so did her paw steps. Her stride extended until she was racing down the hill feeling the slippery snow and ice mix beneath her paws. She could feel the thundering steps of the others as they raced behind her still unsure of what she had smelt but trusting her judgment as their chosen leader. Had they smelled it too? She thought to herself though she knew they had not. She shook her head narrowing her eyes against the cold, bitter wind that whipped about her face. The crystal like tears forming at the corners of her eyes testified to the speed at which she ran. She extended her stride once more and leaped over a fallen log feeling the exhilarating thrust of weightlessness at the height of her jump before landing gracefully on the other side. She saw the silvery gleam of a small tail disappearing over the border. She hissed and came to a sliding halt snow and ice spraying in front of her. She looked around and flicked her ears forward as if to catch sound of the intruder again. She heard the paw steps echoing down across the border and she closed her eyes again listening, concentrating, thinking, and planing.Short breaks between the paws hitting the ground, She thought listening to the paw steps echo back to her. Not hitting hard, no crunching of snow, Lightweight, She opened her mouth and let the scents of the forest wash over her scent glands once again. She snorted closing her mouth slowly and letting the corners curl into a slight smile."It was only an apprentice..." She mewed half to herself. She looked at the snow under her paws and flicked her tail for no one to move. She bent down and sniffed slowly drawing the scent toward her letting it come and be memorized in her brain. She smelled the apprentice and flicked her ears Slowly moving forward. She followed the scent and then she saw the paw prints, and the dead mouse. The paw prints seemed to stumble just at the border and then a large skid mark near where the mouse lay was obviously where the small body of an apprentice had fallen. She picked up the mouse and smirked. "Every one makes that mistake." She mewed to herself around the small body of the puny mouse. She slipped back toward her patrol and threw the mouse to her own apprentice Shimmerpaw. "Here" She mewed and looked around. "You can all hunt. But be brief, we haven't much time..." She glanced around at her group and spoke again her calm voice full of authority. "I know I don't have to remind you, but stay on our side of the border." She mewed and flicked her tail dismissing the patrol. She looked at Shimmerpaw and he smiled at her graciously.
"Are you sure you don't want this Sapphirepheonix?" He asked his mentor in a meek voice looking down at the mouse for a moment. His Grey eyes were full of awe and wonder as the whole group of warriors dipped their heads and slipped away into the underbrush without a question to her. He flicked his ears forward and tilted his head slightly as he looked up at his mentor I'm going to be just like her one day. He thought and smiled again, this time to himself. "No you can have it. What is caught by an aprenitce should be eaten by an apprentice." she mewed and tasted the air again, her over protective mind unable to believe that they were safe where they stood. The wind again whipped around her and she closed her eyes enjoying the feeling of it slipping over her fur. Through it she could barely feel the cold, but the scent that it brought with it was a beautiful mix of strong healthy cats and fresh prey. She opened her eyes and watched her apprentice eat for a moment. His white teeth tearing into the flesh of the mouse. A twig snapped and she looked up her body on slight alert but as the scents wafted to her she relaxed. Her patrol returned full to the brim with catches of mice, rabbit, and wood pigeon. A young tom flicked his tail to her and glanced at his own catch, a large wood pigeon. " Sure I'll share with you Quietheart." She mewed calmly to the tom who rarely ever spoke. As she lay down beside him to eat the bird her ears remained pricked and her eyes always scanned the clearing for movement and change. She had to be on alert. She knew the dangers this world held for them. But she trusted these warriors with her life, and she would fight beside them until starclan took her.
