Strawberrypaw was looking forward to hunting. He loved to run after rabbits and squirells; to feel the wind in his fur and whiskers as he ran. His pale ginger cream fur shimmered in the sun light. It was always groomed to perfection. Strawberrypaw liked to look good. He hated getting his paws muddy, or even worse wet. 'Do you know where we'll be hunting Fallpaw? Has Sapphirestar said yet?' Strawberrypaw tride to strike up conversation with his den-mate. He'd so many siblings, that he rarely socialised with other cats. He wasn't bothered that most of the clan didn't know he existed. His silver-blue eyes looked at each of the cats ready to leave for the patrol. There still weren't many; not that that would much effect the amount of prey caught compared to what they had survived on during the Greaet Journey. 'Do you know if Hauntpaw, or Cascadingpaw is in camp? They could join us, then there'd be even more fresh-kill for the clan to share later. It's great to have a full stomach this early in new leaf.' He looked over to the apprenitce's den, trying to remember if he'd seen either of his sisters there earlier. Muse: Alright Word count:247 Notes: Hauntpaw can be whatever you want him/her to be. I never really minded what people to to my chars kits. It's your character.

{Sapphirestar}
Vindicated I am wrong I am right I swear I'm right Her tail fell as she paused outside the entrance to the camp. She was alone. She shook her head and tasted the air. No, she wasn't. It was masked, but she knew there was someone there...someone she needed to speak with. she looked over her shoulder to see that no one had followed her yet, and then slipped to where Snowpaw was hiding so perfectly. "I expect you are planning to find where your sister is going during the day?" She asked and flicked her ears forward. Her voice was soft and almost inaudible in the dense foliage. She took another breath and nodded quickly a gesture of approval. "You have done well Snowpaw." Was all she said before she slipped back onto the path and back through the entrance. Her ears pricked slightly as a voice entered her ears and she smiled as his form came into view. She flicked her tail and smiled at him. "No, of course, but I couldn't find you. It seems we are taking these apprentices out on an assessment." she said with a slight raise of her eyebrow. She knew that there were kits near by whom were not ready to be warriors, but there were a few. She flicked her ears toward the entrance thinking of Snowpaw and Shadepaw. No she wasn't crazy about the idea of young Shadepaw becoming a warrior, but after today, she would see what Snowpaw found out.
She flicked her ears toward Taintedfaith and then looked at Strawberrypaw as he spoke. She shook herhead slowly, though she knew she was intruding on the small interaction she needed order and to get theis group moving. " We are going to the maple grove. Near Iceclan. Now come all, let's move!" She said and with that she turned and trotted through the entrance, yet again. She keenly had chosen the opposite direction of where Snowpaw had been, and so she moved off at a quickpace not even glancing back. She lifted her tail and kept her pace quick and even. She glanced at Taintedfaith as he caught up to her, and she spoke, her voice soft and easy, the words didn't mae much sense to anyone else but he would understand, "The Snow is to follow the Shade today...so see where it hides while the sun is high in the sky." She didn't expect a reply but continued to stare forward making her way toward the Maple grove. Words: 426 Muse: GREAT For: the young'uns and their sitters. Notes: Sorry i messed up the order of things guys, but I had to make my post fit...so...um new order then? Shadepaw
I am my own...I will do and get what i please... Her shoulder was pressed gently toward the ground, someone trying to wake her. She groaned and rolled away from the prodding paw, only to hear her sister's name called. She lifted her eyelids and her blue orbs found the eyes of the medicine cat and she sighed. "I'm Shadepaw, Midnightdawn...Snowpaw, left this morning." She mumbled before rolling to her paws. She looked at the medicine cat again and shook her head. She was so tired. Ridge had kept her out late again last night, and though she cared about him, he was consuming all of her energy. She pulled her haunches under her back and let her weight slide back over it and as her rump hit the ground she let her tail fall elegantly around her paws. She began the long process of grooming, slowly lowering her head and letting her tongue slide over her thick fur in slow rhythmic rows. She felt her muscles ache and burn. She felt like she had been running all over the countryside all night. It wasn't only her training and time with Ridge, it was the training with Shadeclaw in her dreams. He was growing more powerful by the day, and she knew soon he would take over. She smiled and moved her tongue to her shoulders satisfied with her now gleaming chest. She couldn't wait for his power to seep into all of her being. It wasn't that she wasn't scared, far from it, she was terrified, but Shadeclaw had promised her that she would be fine, and he wouldn't lie to her. He hadn't yet. He had told her to go after Ridge, and try to beat Butterflypaw at him, and it seemed she was doing just that. She flicked her tail and turned to her hips slowly moving over her stomach and legs. Soon she was gleaming and free of all debris and mats. She lokked up in time to see a patrol leaving. She smiled and thought to herself. Oh to bad...I seem to have just missed them...I guess I'll have to go out alone. She smiled again at her thoughts and slipped off to the back of the den. She paced back and forth trying to find the tiny opening at the back, until her eyes found it. It wasn't large, but the apprentice knew she could fit through it. She had before. She threw one last glance over her shoulder and then fell to her belly, before squeezing into the small tunnel that led to the opposite side of the barrier protecting the camp. She emerged no worse for ware and trotted around the barrier, unknowingly passing by Snowpaw, and trotted happily toward the rouge territory. pausing only to roll in some dew and sap to mask her scent. Unknowingly in the same manner her sister had. Words: 488 Muse: GREAT!!! For: SNOWPAW ONLY!!! Notes: ARrow, shall we move this to the rogue board?? and you can have butterfly there first if you want, and have her leave just before Shade gets there?

lost in a simple game cat and mouse
-- Before he had the chance to open his mouth and answer, Sapphirestar spoke out. Green and orange eyes darted from the deputy to the leader for a brief moment. The foreign phrase wrapped around his mind. Was there some sort of treachery going on?
Surely a malicious forming plot would be flagged. Was the leader keeping this to herself? Was she afraid of a sudden outbreak of disorder and fear? Foolish, he thought. Although, was it completely? He tried to disregard all the thoughts as best as he could.
It was not his affair.
Fallpaw had the chance to answer Strawberrypaw's second question, however. Never had he really met with Hauntpaw, even though he was aware his fellow apprentice was named after Fallpaw's father.
The white tom really didn't want to. She was definitely not his father. Plus, he didn't really care for his father. As a matter of fact, he didn't want anything to do with it.
"Uhm, no," Fallpaw replied bluntly. Tried to stop focusing on other things. He needed to be more social. It was worrying him. "Yeah, it-it is. We can just try harder to make up for them."
He liked small parties anyway.
Dug his claws nervously into the loam. "And, it's even better practice for us. Before you know it, we can become the most skillful hunters in GlacierClan," Spoken with great ambition and encouragement.
The tom smiled sincerely at Strawberrypaw.

/sure, Spotty. I'll post there tonight. For now...
Cascadingpaw heard her brother's words and trotted out, shaking her glossy black coat to rid it of the den's dust. The morning sun soaked through her black fur, warming it and freeing her of the night's chill. Her lighting-clue eyes swept the clearing and came to rest on her brother, but at the same time fell on the group of cats around him - including, to her chagrin, the leader and deputy. She slipped backwards into the shadows, but it was too late. She knew they'd seen her.
Her instinct was to turn and run back into the den, or to bolt towards the entrance and just run until she was sure she'd left them behind. But her mind told her that would just make her look stupid, and wasn't that what she was trying to hide? Wasn't that why she never went patrolling or training with more than one or teo other cats? She hated crowds because she was always sure that everyone was watching her, waiting for her to make a mistake. And her shyness and quick, jumpy movements always made others stare at her, so that her fear became ever worse. It was a viscious circle, one she knew she was above, and yet had been sucked down into. She knew she could hunt, she knew she could fight. But she always lost her nerve in front of anyone but her siblings, and she made mistakes. And then she felt stupid, and wanted to disappear. So she avoided all such situations at all costs. But now she had stumbled into one. Stupid.
And looking stupider by the second. Come on, Cascadingpaw. You have to say something. Everyone's staring at you. Come on...COME ON!
"Umm...I..uhm..havn't washed yet...I can't..." she bolted. Stupid. I haven't washed yet? How STUPID did that sound. They'd probably laugh at her the entire patrol. Maybe they'd meet another clan patrol and be luaghing so hard at her fumble that they wouldn't even fight, they'd just collapse in a pile of shaking, laughing hilarity, wondering why their clan had been saddled with such a stupid apprentice.
First she'd been a burden on her foster mother, then her mentor, and now her entire clan. She was a failure, a hopeless apprentice. She could always see the big picture but never be of any help. She curled back up in her nest, head buried between her paws, imagining worse and worse situations as she listened to the sounds of the patrol disappearing into the forest beyond the camp. Sometimes she hated them. Sometimes she hated her imagination. But mostly she just hated herself.
//who's her mentor, btw?

[TAINTEDFAITH]The tom smiled at Sapphirestar's words. It was definatly time for an assessment for the apprentices. His gold gaze flicked towards the apprentice's den, narrowing his eyes slightly as he tried to see where Shadepaw was. Obviously, his apprentice wouldn't be joining them. The deputy cursed under his breath slightly. That d**n apprentice needed to start working harder, or else he wouldn't allow her to become a warrior. Smiling at the thought, Taintedfaith turned towards his mate and leader as she spoke, eyebrows drawing together slightly at her words. He didn't like the sounds of that. Especially not in the voice she used with him. Taking a breath, the deputy fell in behind the apprentices, tail flicking back and forth as he flicked his eyes around.
His head shook back and forth as he trotted around the apprentices, coming to trot beside his leader, eyes glancing back at the apprentices, then to his leader again. "You going to be okay out here alone with the apprentices, love?" Taintedfaith asked, voice low, not wanting the younger cats to hear what he was saying to their leader. His eyes flickered around the forest, watching for anything. Still not at ease with this new territory, Taintedfaith was always on his toes whenever he came out, especially with the Clan's younger generation.
