Dampcloud was on a hunting spree. Really. Eventhough it was only a few voles and mice; when the clouds are hung this low - leafbare is acoming. Anything is better than nothing. After chasing a fat mouse all the way from deep inside SnowClan territory to the Icy Falls, Dampcloud finally caught the darn thing. Just at that moment the grey-white tom's stomach growled, and automatically an advice spoken over and over again from his past mentor repeats itself in his head. You must always remember to feed the elders first. That was one of the basic rules of apprenticeship.
But he was no more an apprentice. That's kinda why he's out here today, actually. As an apprentice you'd need a warrior's permission to get out, even to hunt. But not today. Today he was free to hunt whenever he pleased. He was free to indulge in his favourite past time. How awesome was that!
Dampcloud decided: he was going to have that hard to catch mouse for a snack. Hell, why not. He has caught enough for the clan, and today was a beautiful day, not too hot as in green leaf, and not too cold for leafbare. He picked his reward up with his jaws, smiling as he inhaled the scent of the juicy mouse, and settled beside a cool rock to start digging in his meal. As he said a short prayer for StarClan, an image of the pretty orange and white medicine cat apprentice popped up in his head.
Castingpaw... Dampcloud wanted to ask her out today, since he was already a warrior, he didn't think Wildshadow or his other clanmates would mind if he invited her out for a hunting spree, as friends of course, Nothing more, nope. Nothing. But he finally caught a glimpse of her that day, his tongue got caught in his throat, refusing to let out a meow, even in greeting. The only thing he could do was give her an apologetic look through his eyes. Man, Castingpaw must have thought he was mousebrained.
But now he was out here, almost finishing his meal under the cool leaf-fall weather. The clear river near him sang a melodic song in addition to his already perfect afternoon. But what the young warrior didn't realize, was that he was dangerously close to the ArcticClan border... Dangerously close.

I'm gonna keep on holding on Her legs felt like lead as she dragged herself out of the camp. She didn't want to leave, but she had to get out of that place. She had to get away from them all. To much death since the Great Move, as it had come to be called. She shook head head, which was exhausted from her late night, and long vigil for her leader last night. She looked up at the sky and even it seemed to share her sadness. Covered in clouds it seemed to turn the whole earth gray and gloomy. She lowered her head and flicked her tail. She had spent an hour cleaning herself this morning. What else was she to do. She ahd no more tears left to cry, she had no starclan to pray to, for what had been an unbrakeable faith in her youth now was a tattered flag of the past that had been trampled on and left to blow in the wind. She wouldn't believe in those evil cats again. How could they have in mind what was best for her if they didn't keep her loved ones alive. She growled and snorted in anger at the sky.
Her stomach, as if in answer reiterated the sound and she realized it had been almost two days since she had last eaten. She opened her mouth, her white teeth gleaming and let the wind carry to her scents of prey. She smelled blood first, then death and then mouse. She growled, and dropped to a fighting crouch, for the scent after that drove her over the edge. Stealing from us are they? She thought to herself as she began to move forward toward the scent of Snowclan. She knew she was close to the border, but she knew he was closer...over it probably. She growled under her breath, and thought We'll shows him....He can't steal from us and gets away with it. She then slipped into the underbrush just downwind of the younger tom, and glared at him from the shadows. she knew she was downwind and that he couldn't smell her, but she knew she would only have one chance. And as he finished his meal she leapt, her muscles screaming from lack of use, She landed on his back and let loose a wild battle cry. Her voice shook her body and her words came forth as thus. "YOu think we are weak? Get off our land you mangy, half brained, partial blooded badger faced, twoleg loveing Snowclanner!" "Yeeeowwwwww!"
An involuntary yowl escaped the mouse filled mouth of the SnowClan warrior. What in StarClan's name is going on?! The warrior twisted his lean body to shake of the thorny claws of his attacker from his back. His golden eyes shifted frenziedly to get a view of his attacker? Intruder? He wondered, but he knew that he had to fight back, espescially after getting leaped like that. Besides, he didn't think this cat was from SnowClan. No way she was from his Clan. After he managed to escape the piercing claws, he put some distance between the attacker and himself so that he could plan his next move.
A gust of wind brought in the strong stench of ArcticClan - from the she cat and the territories beyond him. He unsheathed his claws and glared at the intruder with his golden orbs; pupils narrowing into slits and fur tufting in aggression. What is ArcticClan doing on SnowClan lands?!
"You think we are weak? Get off our land you mangy, half brained, partial blooded badger faced, twoleg loveing Snowclanner!"
The she cat's harsh meows echoed lightly on the rocky plains of SnowClan. Dampcloud was surprised with this she cat's anger, but what he was more surprised was...
"Wh-Whaaat?! You're accusing me for breaking the Warrior's Code? You're the one on SnowClan's grounds! I should be asking you to get out!" Dampcloud angrily replied. He didn't like being called a trespasser by some other clan cat when he was clearly keeping to his side of the forest. He especially hated insults towards his clan.
"I would ask politely, but you don't seem like you're in the mood to talk." Dampcloud hissed at the ArcticClanner. "I will show you SnowClan isn't as weak as you ArcticClanners. We'll show you who's the half-blood here." Dampcloud growled, ready to attack.

I'm gonna keep on holding on Her eyes locked onto the tom as he put distance between them. She let a smirk escape cross her face and a growl escaped her lips as recognition seemed to cross his face. His words stung her more than he would have guessed, She looked at her paws and turned toward where she had come from, and her eyes fell on the border line, she was only a tail length from it, but he had clearly been on his side. She would think of a lie quick. "Wh-Whaaat?! You're accusing me for breaking the Warrior's Code? You're the one on SnowClan's grounds! I should be asking you to get out!" She turned back her puffy eyes narrowing, she growled again and, dug her claws into the ground. " Don't play coy with me, Snowclanner...I know where the border is...and If I hadn't jumped you, you would still be on our land...don't think I didn't see you!" She growled her eyes widening in a wild look of anger, pain, and overall fear. She knew her words were a lie but she didn't care. She glared at him again her eyes never leaving his, before she began to move slowly forward. She was a senior warrior, surely they would believe her. Her tail began to flick in anticipation, and worry. It wouldn't matter, Forreststar was dead, Pebblepelt, Sparrowflight, Palesparrow, Luckpounce, Sparklepaw, they were all gone. She didn't care anymore.
Again his words burst forth and she paused in her movements, ""I would ask politely, but you don't seem like you're in the mood to talk....I will show you SnowClan isn't as weak as you ArcticClanners. We'll show you who's the half-blood here." She let out a high pitched yowl, her battle cry, and charged at him her claws flying and her body moving like a wild wind. She didn't care if she hit him or missed, she would never be called a mouse brained half blooded traitor. She didn't care what happened to her...her clan didn't need her, her family was gone, and she wanted nothing more to do with anyone, because everyone she had ever cared about...were gone. All at once she felt a large weight on her chest and realized she couldn't move. She was pinned, and helpless. She looked up into the eyes of her captor and they filled with shame, pain, and anguish. "Just kill me now..." She said softly and her eyes began to leak tears, that she thought had already been cried. Words: 451 Posting As: Mythflight Posting For: Dampcloud Muse: Pretty awesome Notes: Sorry boutthe bit of powerplay at the end, but she was hysterical enough to let him pin her, so...he can do whatever. =D this will be awesome. =D
